Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Ruslan Gurov ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Kai mobile applications for iOS and Android (bundle identifier ch.chatkai.app) and the connected online service at https://chatkai.ru (together, the "Service").

This policy applies to users who download Kai from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Email address when you register or sign in with email.
  • Identifiers from Google or Yandex when you choose sign-in with those providers.
  • Chat messages, prompts, files, photos, and other content you send in the Service.
  • Voice recordings when you use voice input, and text transcriptions of those recordings.
  • Messages you send us for support or feedback.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information needed to run the Service, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
  • Technical logs and diagnostic data related to errors, performance, and security.
  • Subscription status, usage limits, and payment records. Full payment card numbers are collected and stored by YooKassa, our payment processor; we store payment method type and the last four digits of the card where applicable.

What we do not collect or use

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
  • The Kai mobile apps do not use an advertising identifier and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
  • We do not collect your phone number for account registration in the apps.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service, including AI chat, file handling, and voice features.
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
  • Process payments, subscriptions, and usage metering.
  • Send service-related email (for example, sign-in codes, account or security messages).
  • Detect abuse, enforce our terms, and protect users and the Service.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

Sharing with third parties

We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information.

AI processing

To generate replies, we send your prompts and relevant attachments (such as images or documents) to AI providers. They process this data only to provide the AI response and under their own terms and privacy policies.

Sign-in providers

If you sign in with Google or Yandex, those companies process information according to their policies to authenticate you.

Payments

YooKassa processes payments and stores payment card details according to its policies. We receive payment status and limited card metadata needed for your account.

Service providers

Hosting, email delivery, and other vendors process data on our behalf only as needed to operate the Service.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets, with notice where appropriate.

Device permissions

The apps request access only for features you use. You can change permissions in your device settings; some features will not work without them.

  • Microphone: record voice messages.
  • Speech recognition (iOS): turn voice into text for sending in chat.
  • Camera and photo library: attach photos to messages.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period. Limited backup copies may remain for a short time before they are removed.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and associated data by following the instructions at https://chatkai.ru/deletion or by emailing hi@chatkai.ru with the subject "Account deletion".

You can also request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting hi@chatkai.ru.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the current version on this page and update the effective date when we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
